Silk Caye SCUBA Experience
Belize is world renown for SCUBA Diving and the Barrier Reefs are a short 1 hour boat ride from Placencia Village!
Silk Caye plays home to reef sharks, turtles and some smaller creatures like Pederson Cleaner Shrimps or Green Moray Eels as well as a great variety of tropical fish. This experience offers 2 tanks to explore them all!!

Sail and Snorkel
Explore Belize’s Grand Channel with a trip to the Belize Barrier Reef, only 14 miles offshore. After a 40-minute boat ride to your dive site, you will see a wide variety of sea life, including sea turtles, moray eels, barracuda, king mackerel, eagle rays, stingrays, manta rays, and, at times, hammerhead sharks, jewfish, and dolphins. This diver’s playground gives you front-row access to the most exotic sea life you can imagine.
Cook Your Catch
Hook it and cook it! Departing from our marina, this escapade epitomizes adventure! Sail through the crystal-clear waters of the Caribbean, passing picture-perfect islands. Your voyage then pauses as you catch little sprats for bait. After practicing the technique of throwing a cast net, you’ll continue to the captain’s favorite fishing spot. There, you’ll test your luck, perhaps bringing in the “big one” of the day. Then you’ll head to Limilia, where our chefs will transform your catch into the perfect bite.
Great Blue Hole Visit
Venture into the blue. No trip to Belize would be complete without a visit to one of Jacques Cousteau’s favorite places. The Great Blue Hole is a large sinkhole, long renowned for its stunning aerial and underwater views. Almost perfectly circular, the hole stretches 1,000 feet across and plunges 400 feet down, making for an awe-inspiring sight and site. Snorkelers can explore the fringing reefs, while divers can descend along the wall to a depth of 130 feet.
Private Island Exploration
Your own island. Or two. Or three. Spend the day aboard a private charter as you hop between the intimate and exclusive cayes, or small islands, in the seas surrounding Placencia. Each destination more special than the next, you’ll feel like a lucky castaway as your captain delivers you from one gorgeous, remote beach to another. After a day of sun, snorkeling, and seclusion, you’ll make your way back to Itz’ana—that is, if you can resist the urge to shipwreck and never return.
Laughing Bird Caye
Tiny atoll, big adventure. Just 11 miles off the coast of Placencia, this little national park packs a lot of paradise in, boasting a vast and diverse array of wildlife. A former breeding ground for the laughing gull (its namesake), this long, narrow island is yours to spend the day exploring. We recommend alternating between lazing under the shade of the palm trees and snorkeling with the abundant fish, coral, and turtles just off the beach.
Night Hike through the Wildlife Sanctuary
After the sun goes down. Traverse pristine wetlands on your drive to the Southern Highway. On most nights, the air is clear enough to see the majestic silhouette of Victoria Peak (3,675 feet) and the distant Maya Mountains. Make your way to the Maya Center and the entrance to the world’s only jaguar reserve, Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary.
Rappel & Zipline
From high up in the treetops. Start your morning with an invigorating hike to the top of Antelope Falls, and enjoy a breathtaking view of the Caribbean Sea. Then start your way down on foot before rappelling 300 to 500 feet to the base. After the first zip, you’ll savor a delicious, traditional Belizean meal. Then you’ll zip down again for a mile and a half, on the longest zipline in Belize.
Bocawina National Park
Adventure seekers, seek no further. There’s no shortage of adventure in Belize, but the truly intrepid will find themselves drawn to Bocawina National Park, where ziplining and waterfall rappelling are part of a typical day. The park offers 7,100 acres of lush jungle, a dizzying amount of wildlife, and ancient Maya sites. Your visit to the park, which will be customized to suit your adventure level, might include flying through the rainforest canopy on the country’s longest zipline, tracking jaguar and puma on a night hike, or rappelling 250 feet down the face of a rushing waterfall—no big deal.

Monkey River Tour
Home of the howlers Venture far beyond the mangroves on a 15-mile boat trip to the mouth of Monkey River, home to birds, crocodiles, iguanas, and, of course, elusive howler monkeys. After a relaxing ride down the river spotting wildlife, your local guide will lead you through the rainforest, where you’ll hear the signature howl of the river’s namesake. If you think you’ve never heard a howler monkey before, think again—their distinctly Jurassic calls were used to create the vicious roars of a certain movie franchise.
Lubaantun
Where history meets mystery. While its modern name, Lubaantun, means “place of the fallen stones,” no one knows its ancient Mayan name. And that is just the first of the mysteries surrounding this archaeological site. Immerse yourself in speculation of the unknown as your guide takes you through this unique and complex former city, whose most unusual feature is the complete absence of any carved stone monuments.

Beauty in ruins. Nim Li Punit, or “Big Hat,” is a small but spectacular Maya archaeological site named for the large headdress on a ruler found carved into one of its stone monuments, or stelae. Explore the three plazas and incredibly well-preserved ball court on a guided tour taking you back 1,200 years to the Late Classic Period, when the city of Nim Li Punit flourished.

Beach
It’s easy to see why the gorgeous beach at Itz’ana is our most popular event space. After all, gatherings are always better barefoot, and incredible views of the Caribbean Sea are icing on the cake. That being said, any reason is a good reason to party on the beach, including reunions, group events, and anniversary soirees.
