The Resort

Nestled within a private 200-acre reserve on Belize’s Placencia Peninsula, Naïa Resort and Spa is an intimate, natural playground where guests enjoy an authentic Belize experience on land and sea. Naïa’s 35 secluded beach houses extend along a mile of palm studded coastline offering breath taking views of the Caribbean Sea. All accommodations at Naïa feature original local artwork and custom furnishings. The support for our community is expressed through Naïa’s local ownership and 100 percent Belizean staff.

Naia Resort and Spa encompasses 19 acres of secluded beachfront and lush landscapes within the private 200-acre Cocoplum Community on Belize’s Placencia Peninsula. The property extends along nearly a mile of palm-studded beach, where 35 beautifully-appointed Beach Houses envelop guests in casual, residential-style luxury.

At the heart of the resort lies Naia Spa, so named to reflect the free-spirited nature of the resort and the ever-present connection between land and water. This breathtaking retreat is spread over a collection of small islands dotting an enchanting freshwater lagoon where our skilled and experienced therapists work their restorative magic. The spa also features a fully-equipped fitness center, plus a yoga and movement studio that overlooks our tranquil lagoon.

Our three inviting restaurants invite you to savor an authentic taste of Belize with seasonally-influenced menus and specialty drinks. Explore the beauty of the peninsula with kayaks and paddleboards, enjoy a refreshing swim in our saltwater pool, or journey further afield to explore one of our many cultural, land or sea tours.

1981 Restaurant

Named after the year that Belize attained independence, 1981 is our signature restaurant and offers guests a modern take on fresh Belizean cuisine, with an emphasis on high quality local ingredients and creative mixology. The polished, yet relaxed, ambiance provides the perfect waterfront setting to reconnect with family and friends. Our ever-evolving seasonal menu features signature seafood dishes, as well as flavorful local meats and tasty vegetarian options.

Beach Bar and Grill

Casual yet classy, start your day here by enjoying one of our many tasty breakfast options while you enjoy the morning sunshine rising over the Caribbean Sea. Sip a freshly made invigorating smoothie or wake up with a mug of fresh coffee. Later in the day, the Beach Bar and Grill embraces our seaside setting with a menu that offers fresh, local cuisine, cold beers and specialty drinks from our tropical bar. Sample local favorites such as seafood, homemade burgers and deliciously healthy tacos and salads. Whether you’re after a light bite, some poolside fun, or a casual three-course lunch, you can be sure to find something on our menu to tempt you.

Reflections Spa Café

Located within Naia Spa and positioned on the edge of an enchanting lagoon, the Spa Café is the perfect location for a private dinner, small gathering or cocktail party. In addition, although it is not a full service restaurant, the Spa Café features our Beach Bar and Grill menu with service available from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm for our spa clients' a la carte orders.

Hatchet Caye, Snorkeling at Silk Caye, Lunch at Lionfish Grill

Swim with the turtles, sharks and rays at Silk Caye! On the way out to Hatchet Caye, enjoy a stop at a beautiful reef to snorkel for about an hour, where your guide will point out many different species of sea life. After this first adventure, you’ll head on to Hatchet Caye for lunch. After lunch, head out to your second snorkel destination at Silk Caye, where you have the opportunity to snorkel with nurse sharks, sea turtles and sting rays. Lunch is not included in this tour; guests are invited to purchase food and beverages at the Grill on Hatchet Caye, at their own expense.

Arrange a sunset cocktail or a lunch buffet for your event at our Pool Area. At 4,000 square feet, the Central Pool area can accommodate 100 for a banquet or 200 for a cocktail reception.

Beach Area

Our stunning and secluded setting along the Placencia Peninsula is the ideal location for all kinds of events. Our picturesque beach measures 6,000 square feet and can accommodate 200 for a banquet or 400 for a cocktail reception.
